The Board of Directors of the Center for Technological Development and Innovation, E.P.E (CDTI), in its meeting held on 04/27/2023, approved its participation in the research and development project called "FABRICS FOR ELECTROMAGNETIC PROTECTION OF COMMUNICATIONS FOR THE AUTOMOTIVE SECTOR" through the granting of a partially refundable aid.

The objective of the project is focused on the development of flexible protections for the automotive industry capable of providing high electromagnetic protection to communications for driving assistance technologies, ensuring at all times that no environmental interference occurs that could interrupt and/or alter such communications, causing their dysfunctionality, and consequently, failing to perform the function of road safety prevention.

The project was carried out at the facilities in Caldes de Montbui with satisfactory results. The project execution period was from 2022 to 2023 and had a fundable budget of €652,280.00. This project has been co-financed by the European Union and CDTI.
